As part of the June field trip program, students of Oji International Language Institute visited the Disaster Prevention Center to participate in hands-on disaster preparedness training.

Japan is one of the most earthquake-prone countries in the world, making disaster preparedness an essential part of everyday life for international students.

During the visit, students experienced earthquake simulations, fire evacuation training, and smoke evacuation exercises. These practical activities helped them learn how to respond calmly and protect themselves in emergency situations.

After the training, the students visited Kyu-Furukawa Gardens, a famous historical garden that beautifully combines traditional Japanese landscaping with Western-style gardens. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience Japan’s culture, history, and natural beauty.

At Oji International Language Institute, we believe that studying abroad is about more than learning Japanese. Through various field trips and practical activities, we strive to help our students develop the knowledge and confidence needed to live safely and comfortably in Japan.
